Q:
What is the history of Italian Charm bracelets?
A:
The Italians invented this modular style of bracelet. They use high
quality, hypoallergenic stainless steel for their charm link bases, with
18K gold charms hand soldiered to the links. The charms which make up
these highest quality bracelets are called Italian stainless. All modular
charm links are a standard size and are interchangeable in any Italian
Charm bracelet.
Q: How do I make an Italian Charm
Bracelet?
A: Start off with the "base bracelet", shown as a
chain of 14 blank charms linked together. Browse through the categories of
charms, or search for a specific type of charm using the "Search" box. Add
charms of your choice by dragging each charm onto the base bracelet where
you want them to appear; feel free to move them around to make it perfect.
As each new charm is added, a blank link is removed automatically. When
you're happy with the way it looks, click on "Proceed to Checkout".

Q: Can I mix and match different brands of
charms?
A:Yes! All of our charms are the same size and
will link perfectly to any other charm in our collection. If you are
buying loose charms to add to an existing bracelet purchased somewhere
else, our charms are the standard "medium" size.
Q: Will the charm bracelets tarnish or
rust?
A: No. Our Italian cahrms are made of the highest
quality stainless steel and 18K gold. You may wear your bracelet everyday
and never worry about it tarnishing or rusting. As with any piece of fine
jewelry, it is not recommended that you shower or bathe with them on. A
jeweler's cloth is all that is needed to shine them right up again.
Q: Are all of the charms on the site in
stock?
A: Yes. If you see it, we have it. We only display
those charms that we have in stock.
Q: What is Laser Engraving?
A:Traditional engraving scratches letters into the
item, actually cutting into the jewelry. Laser engraving etches onto the
surface of the jewelry. It is extremely durable and allows us to achieve
very fine detail and a wide variety of fonts.
Q: What is Sterling Silver?
A:Although silver in its natural form is harder
than gold, it is still considered too soft for use in fine jewelry, and so
it is alloyed with other metals to give it strength. Sterling silver is
composed of 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 percent copper, which makes the
metal harder and more durable. In addition to its relative strength,
silver is also the most malleable and ductile of all metals. It is most
commonly found in nature combined with other elements in minerals and
ores, and during mining, silver is obtained most often as a by-product in
the processing of such ores. Most of the worlds silver comes from Mexico,
the United States, Peru, Australia, and Canadathe most notable deposits
are in Peru and Norway. The leading silver-producing states in the United
States are Nevada, Idaho, Alaska, and Arizona. When purchasing sterling
silver, look for its fineness stamp of sterling, sterling silver, ster,
or, .925.
Q: How do I care for my silver jewelry?
A:Over time your sterling silver will tarnisha
natural dulling effect that occurs when silver reacts with elements in the
air. To prevent tarnish build up, clean your silver pieces with a polish
or soft cloth specifically made for sterling. Always keep your sterling
jewelry away from harsh chemicals such as chlorine and household cleaning
products. This will reduce daily abrasions and prolong your jewelrys
sparkle. To protect your sterling silver jewelry from being scratched,
store them in their original boxes away from other jewelry. There are also
tarnish proof boxes and bags for sterling.
