italian charms bracelets history

  1.     One of the hottest rages in personalized jewelry is the Italian charm bracelet.

Each bracelet is made of interchangeable charms that can be moved, removed, and added to create unique and completely customized bracelets. To say the least, this is very cool. First because you can create a bracelet that is uniquely yours and second because you can add charms that are meaningful to you. This bracelet also makes a great gift because you can select charms that are meaningful to the person receiving the gift.

Italian charm bracelets are also very cool if you like looking at a lot of attractive, colorful charms.

Many places sell Italian charms. The top brands include Zoppini, Disney, and Nomination. The problem is that each charm costs from $16 to $20, which really adds up when you consider that the average bracelet has 18 charms. That痴 a total of around $360! Where can you save and get quality charms for less? You could look for an established and well-recognized brand of merchandise from a reputable merchant, but what you値l have to do is venture into the market of smaller name brands and find a source of high-quality charms at low prices. Then, having saved $360, you can afford some fine jewelry like a diamond ring! By the way, if you love beautiful rings, look at the Ross-Simons Earrings Showcase and check out their main website, too.

However, it can be frustrating to find a good source of high-quality charms at low prices because the market is very fragmented, with many different merchants and prices. You can become fragmented yourself just checking out all the options.

On one hand, you値l find high-volume sellers or distributors who buy stock directly from manufacturers and importers and move large quantities of product at lower prices.

On the other hand, you値l find resellers and retailers who purchase wholesale from other resellers. They may offer a wider selection but maintain a smaller stock and have higher prices. While you might not get the lowest prices as some other places, you値l definitely have a great selection to choose from.

Somewhere in between the above are the smaller operators and hobbyists.

If you are really intent on getting great quality and great prices, you値l need to find a distributor who sells to the public as well as to resellers. Once you find such a distributor, how can you be sure that the charms are high quality? By finding out how it is made. Note:

    • The type of metal the charm is made of. Look for industry grade stainless steel (304 or 316).
    • How the picture side, or face, of the charm is attached to the base. A soldered attachment is best.
    • How the face is protected from damage by friction. Resin or epoxy should be used to seal the enameled surface.
    • The thickness of the metal on the picture side. It should be at least 0.4mm thick. Cheap charms look flat; instead of having a metal plate attached to the front, a part of the surface of the charm is pushed out and then painted. Such charms are not worth buying. They are only junk!
    • The quality of the spring inside the charm. This used to be an important issue, but today nearly all manufacturers use quality spring mechanisms.

It痴 also very important to evaluate the merchant selling the charms. Do they include an unconditional 30-day return guarantee? How fast do they ship orders, and what percentage of ordered charms are actually shipped?

Italian charm merchants have many tiny items to keep track of, which can be a problem. When a merchant is selling 1,000 different items, it can be difficult to track each one and keep accurate inventory numbers. Many of them sell charms that they don't have in stock! If you order from one of these sites, good luck in getting what you ordered.

Now you know what questions to ask when dealing with Italian charm merchants. Start with how their charms are made and then evaluate their service.
